R&D CENTER

Since its establishment, SAMBU Fine Chemical’s R&D Center has been continuously pursuing its goal of becoming the market leader as it has been developing optimized products complying with customer requirements and releasing state-of-the-art new products even one step ahead of customer requirements.

Established in 1938 as a company specializing in release/cleaning agent products for footwear manufacturing, SAMBU Fine Chemical became the world’s first to introduce water-based release agents and cleaning agents to the world. From then on, SAMBU Fine Chemical continued to expand its business into the TPU field, the TPU-utilized fabric field and the PU foam field by not limiting its field of business, and SAMBU Fine Chemical’s evolution will continue to make progress in the future. SAMBU’s growth engine is its management value focused on understanding and analyzing customer requirements at all times and supplying products complying with such requirements, and such management value mainly consists of SAMBU’s unstinting investment in technology and of the R&D center’s continuous research endeavors.

“Environment-friendly” is a keyword that represents SAMBU Fine Chemical the most, and SAMBU Fine Chemical makes steady efforts to serve as the basis for enabling its co-existence with the community. SAMBU Fine Chemical’s R&D Center performed a number of research and development projects involving environment-friendly chemical products, water-based polyurethane resin products, renewable polyurethane sheet products, etc., to develop innovative environment-friendly products as well as to expand into new environment-friendly business areas, and makes efforts to take lead in pursuing, exploring and realizing invisible sections to contribute to saving the earth and protecting the environment.”
